8.0 PROCEDURE FOR PROCESSING S&T PROJECTS
The project proposal will be
scrutinized by the Central Mine Planning and Design Institute Limited. CMPDI may seek
clarifications and if necessary call for the project leader/co-ordinator concerned for first hand discussions. After
the first level scrutiny, CMPDI shall submit these proposals which conform to these guidelines with their own observations
and recommendations to the Sub-committee concerned. The Sub-committee shall further evaluate the proposals and, if
necessary, may call for clarifications/modifications. Thirty copies of the proposals
along with Sub-Committee's observations/recommendations would then be sent by CMPDI to the
Ministry of Coal for circulation among members of the Standing Scientific Research committee to the Ministry and placing them
before SSRC for its consideration.
Proposals involving purely surveys and routine studies will not normally be considered for funding.
