5.0 COST ITEMS WHICH CAN FORM PART OF PROJECT

Equipment, solely and exclusively required for the project
work, provided the same piece of equipment or a similar one is not already available with the implementing agency concerned.

Manpower should normally be provided by the agency
concerned. However, if considered essential, a small number of scientific and technical personnel may be recruited for the
duration of the project only. Bio-data of the recruited Scientific /technical personnel should be submitted to CMPDI, immediately
after their recruitment. It should not lead to long-term permanent employment.

Maximum of
Rs. 10,000/- for organizing and attending seminars, symposia etc. within the country.

Identified consumables.

Contingency limited to 5% of the cost of the project.

TA/DA expenses in connection with tours undertaken in the
interest of the project, subject to a ceiling of Rs. 40,000/- per year per project. However, for projects requiring TA/DA
amount in excess of Rs. 40,000/- per year, complete and detailed justification with calculations will be provided in the project
proposal to facilitate concerned Sub-committees to appreciate and take a view in the matter. The expenditure on TA/DA should have a
correlation with overall project cost.
