19.0  ASSETS ACQUIRED UNDER S&T GRANTS 

For the assets acquired solely or mainly out of the grant, a record in the form of a bound paged register in the prescribed proforma (Form-IV) shall be maintained by the implementing agency. 

All assets acquired under the S&T grants will be the property of Ministry of Coal (represented by CMPDI) and should not, without the prior sanction of the Ministry, be disposed of or encumbered or utilised for purpose other than those for which the grant has been sanctioned. 

At the conclusion of the project, the Ministry of Coal will be free to sell or otherwise dispose of assets which are the property of the Ministry of Coal. The implementing agency shall extend necessary facilities to CMPDI for arranging the sale of these assets.  Ministry of Coal has the discretion to gift the assets to the implementing agency or transfer them to any other institution if it is considered appropriate.
